According to the Ankeny Education Association Policies and Procedures, the role of the Governmental Affairs/Resolutions Committee is to complete the following tasks for the Ankeny Education Association:
1) Provide current information to AEA on educational issues and political candidates impacting education.
2) Serve as the election committee.
3) Make recommendations to the membership on candidates for office.
4) Represent the AEA at ISEA Candidate Interviews.
